@rvk Do you know which of our ancestors were Sephardic? I have Sephardic DNA but can't trace it to an exact ancestor. My recent Dutch ancestors are Drukker, Suikerman, Frijda, Swaab, Charlevil. Your dad's 10th great Aunt is my 9th great-grandmother: Anna Hendrikje / Hendele Hendele Sara Magnus Menachem JACOB is your 9th great grandmother.

I don't know. which test did you do, at or mt?

The test just confirms family traditions but I'm wondering if you know any names of our common ancestors who are known to be Sephardic.

If you don't mind me putting in my two cents, all the surnames you mention are German or (possibly) Polish, except for Charlevil. It's likely from the city of Charleville, France. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleville-M%C3%A9zi%C3%A8res.

Yes, those names are Dutch-ified but many cousins' names are Sephardic. My family was in Amsterdam from the 1500's and my understanding is that Jews there at that time were Sephardic.

Please see Yaacov Drukker
Jacob Drukker was born around 1550 and he was the first Drukker in the Netherlands.
His parents came from Portugal or Spain according to what my dad told me.
