I am Jacquelin Shawn (McMurtry) (adopted by Clark 3 years after my Dad Robert Stewart McMurtry died) Swanson;
My Grandpa John McMurtry (1907-1996) immigrated to Saskatchewan with his Dad James David McMurtry (1878-1946) his Uncle David McMurtry (1879-1944) and perhaps a nephew.
James and David's Dad, I believe was John McMurtry (1859-1914) who was born in New Jersey, but emigrated back to 77 Canning Street, County of Antrim Ireland; where he raised his family.
I have traced all of my Great Grandfathers back to Joseph McMurtrie (1685-1762) and beyond that to my 10 times Great Grandfather, I believe born in Ayrshire Scotland.
The problem with all of this is that i can't be sure about James and David's Dad. I have sent my DNA in so I am hoping that more gets resolved.
