Dear Researchers, The ability to upload directly from FTDNA is a fantastic feature of GENI. BUT there is something that could be improved about the yDNA haplogroup information provided by individual users. As you know there are several labs doing yDNA testing and sometimes a person (such as me) may have a more advanced result from another lab such as YSEQ. However, the FTDNA yDNA hg is the one that shows for my profile and my yDNA pedigree. I would like to be able to adjust my yDNA hg so that other researchers may know with more accuracy what they are looking at. Could there be a way for a person to modify their own yDNA hg when obtained outside of FTDNA?

Good idea, there is ySeq, yFull, mitoYDNA…
