There is a family reunion for the descendants of Jeremiah Osborne and Mary Newman in the county Baptist church in Claypool, Kentucky once a year the first Saturday in August. It is the hottest time of year there dress cool. About 5-8 miles away in Greensboro, Kentucky the local library has a TON of loose leaf information in the library on your side of the family. There is 6 revised volumes of the "CLAYPOOL" and "CLAYPOOLs in AMERICA" by Evelyn Claypool Bracken in some libraries you can use to do your genealogy. You may also go on Osborne-Origins.org and you will also find your genealogy. The who's who in genealogist said that Evelyn Claypool's Book was meticulous!
Jeremiah Osborne's brother John Osborn b. 1735 married Elizabeth Claypool. They are my 4th great grandparents. I have worked on Genealogy for over 40 years. I have met 3 of the genealogist that descend from Jeremiah Osborne and Mary Newman. They are Wayne L. Osborne, Dr. Rev. Marietta Mansfield, and Evelyn Claypool Bracken. Wayne is the last one alive that I know of. He belongs to Osborne-Origins on the internet. HE is a great researcher. There is also a Osborn/e DNA project going on that you might want to consider. I personally like to follow the Y-Chromosome. Which is the male line of the Osborn/e family.
Don't worry if there is an "e" on the end of the name or not. Some have dropped the "e".
Our line is all the way back to about 1100 to 1200's in England. Our first ancestor to come to this county was Thomas Osborne b. 1594/5 and his wife Mary Goatley. With them they brought 5 sons. Thomas b. 1622, Jeremiah (Jeremy) b. 1624, John b. 1631, Stephen b. 1634, Joseph b. 1636. Richard b. 1627 died at the age of 6 months in England. The additional children born in this country are Rebecca b. 1642, Increase b. 1643 and Benjamin b. 1646
