Why aren't we allowed direct access to send emails to relatives for ease of additional information? It seems to me to make more sense than having a share button that does anything but share and links to other venues that we don't necessarily want to post. Please consider bringing this site into the next century and add ease of application buttons like a direct invite, email additions, links that allow people to leave relatives notes on the trees for corrections or additions, etc.
I am a bit baffled.
re: "direct invite" - you put their e-mail in the e-mail field, Geni sends them an invite - cannot be much simpler or direct than that
re: " links that allow people to leave relatives notes on the trees for corrections or additions, etc." -- you can start a Discussion -- Public or just for Family - from any profile with notes for corrections or additions
you can send Geni-messages to all the Managers of a Profile with suggestions for additions or corrections
you can send Geni-messages to all the Descendants of a given profile with such suggestions
I do not think I am fully understanding you, so quite possibly these responses do not directly address what you are saying.
It USED TO BE the case that we could see the e-mail address of our relatives. If you look down the right-hand side of the profile of a claimed profile in your Max Family, you will see a heading: "Contact' and under it, "Email" - and that used to be non-disguised
(with the opiion in settings whether folks could see it, I believe) - when Geni changed Platforms, that was one of the changes that happened - do not think Geni has a choice in that, but if so, I would agree the actual e-mail should be shown to one's Family Group if one chooses to share it at all.
