Bushrod Doggett - Bushrod Doggett and Bushrod Doggett

Please be aware that there were 2 Bushrod Doggetts, one the grandfather of the other. The first Bushrod lived and died in Virginia. His daughter was Sarah Ann Doggett who had a child with William Tapp (Taptico). She later married a Byers. The child she had was named Bushrod after her father. He was born in Virginia; fought in the Revolutionary War; was granted land in North Carolina as payment for his service; and is buried at Tanner's Grove Church near Rutherfordton, NC.. He was the father of George Chatman Dogett and was my gggGrandfather.
