Lou was born as Elmer Louis Risenthell. Even at an early age, he hated the name Elmer and reversed the order. Apparently he changed Elmer to Elliott later. In any event, If you want to find the family in census records from around that time, look up Risenthell in Everett, MA. - Fred Hopengarten
