I am a descendant of Christian and Madlena (Stauffer) Krahenbuhl. There are some problems with this profile, however. Fellow descendant, genealogist, author and researcher Daniel Bly looked into the matter. He has information from the Eggiwil Church records. The Swiss were not giving double names in that time and so someone must have attached the Jost. Davis has a Krahenbuhl chapter in his books on Mennonite families. Per Davis, Christian born 1630, was son of Ulrich and Madlena Stauffer. No Jost in either family. It appears someone is confusing different branches of the family.
