Why is the connection not active between this profile (Catherine Macleod) and her mother Catherine MacDonald?

private I’m going to guess the servers are overloaded with relationship requests. Shiny new toy everyone is enjoying. I had the same problem on another profile just now.

I bet you're right! I'll check again. I do love the new feature! I'm finding the new tool is especially helpful with noble families who intermarried as there was perhaps a limited genepool to keep the social class.
