Elizabeth Susannah Brown (later to marry James Harvey), was my Great Grandmother. There has been an extensively researched book published about the Brown family, "Gumleaf and Cowhide - W.V. Brown Family History." She, and her sisters, were NOT given the middle name of "Voules" …..note, Voules, NOT Vowles. It was given only to the male line of the family.
