Any progress on finding anything on Proposed 1st wife of Silent Bryant ?
I spent two weeks on Capt. Alexander Doniphan, Sr. family and I got nothing. No Lucy’s anywhere in sight, and the age is all wrong.
Regardless of who the mother was, SIlent Bryant, Occupation Wolf Trapper for the King of the Patawomeck as of 1662 when the policy started for payment to the Virginia Assembly, had a flow of his N.N. Fnu Lnu (call her Lucy) wife in deed transfer of lands from her to Elinor (Bryant) Gallop-Owens on 2 specific deeds that then tie her to her spouses. That particular land came from Henry Meese and passed through a land -flow-to-woman-in - the-family way and that is why the N.N. partner of Henry Meese are are deed tied to Elinor Bryant, daughter of Silent.
And he and a wife Ann are in a will log book as neighbors describes, witnessed by them, on a page in Appomatox Co Wills in which are noted all the main players of the deeds addressed. Besides this is settled in both tribal and now in atDna chromosome mapping following ISOGG recommended standards for the parties asking for the link. It is is also already chromosome mapped by hundreds on Gedcom trees. I think it was asked where is the information on the re-verifiable SNP work and that is in the media section of Silent and his N N (call her Lucy? Bryant).
A published article will have to be developed. The atDna information there is added in to their media section for the 7th generation common grandparents of Bill Deyo and Rachelle Roby with the note to their common being Elinor (Bryant) Gallop-Owen and the cM is almost 8. That is for the claimants asking for the connection of their CA Elinor to the her father, Silent. It is Geni's policy to use atDna and this would just be 3 items added out so many that can be if needed; but, it is easier to summarize it that anyone with the claimants' kits can run the 3 D brownsers of any claimants and determine a triangulation. I can work with the team to get the published article to happen for multiple parties and it is not a problem to extrapolate out any comparable lines of endogamy, because we have many who share only this particular connection although they have many other Bryant lines. I will put the updates into Dr. Bryant's project. It may take a bit.
When you’re ready with a developed argument, post back, and I’ll try to tag more genetic genealogists to take a look; feel free to get anyone’s (independent) feedback as well in discussion.
As a Geni volunteer curator, I do not feel comfortable with atDNA as the evidence for these proposed connections. Too early in time.
NB: don’t forget the Bryan Y DNA project

Identifying which is “your” Dr Richard Bryant would be most helpful.
