What happens to a profile manager's profiles when he or she dies?
Hundreds of my profiles are marked <Private> because the people in those profiles---many currently in their 70s to 90s---are living.
But what will happen 10-20+ years from now when those people have passed away (and I myself might have passed away). Who will manually access and change/update those people's profiles?
Should profile managers ask one or more younger family members to become co-managers, so that changes can be made in Geni when the current profile manager has died?

You can report that the manager of a claimed profile is deceased. Go to Profile View ACTIONS > REPORT
In the past, Geni re-assigned management to the nearest relative who was active on Geni. They have been quick to do this, so as to avoid things like relatives getting birthday reminders for deceased members.
Hatte,
Your reply has prompted me to do two things:
1. To ask several of my younger cousins (who are interested in genealogy and who use Geni) whether they would like to be co-manager(s) of my profiles upon my death.
2. To inform my wife that upon my death to contact these designated cousins (if they don't hear of my passing via the family grapevine).
I hope to be alive & kicking for years to come. But, I manage over 17,000 profiles and do not want them to become un-managed upon my demise.

A1C Paul Alan Fine, USAF, B.A. it's wise to have a plan. FTDNA has you choose a beneficiary for the DNA data.
I should search "beneficiary" in Geni Help. I don't remember such a setting.
