Why do we have a flag in the anchor image when it should be a portrait?

I like the portrait here, which is several times in the media section:

not to be argumentative, but the picture in the red dress is also listed as her mother. the one with the big fro with laurels? in it may be her. the crypt is her, so those work better than st andrews cross (said with this glaswegan accent).

my question is this, even with it being the main form of transportation of the day, what the holy hell is an 8+ month pregnant woman doing riding a horse?

simple questions.

have a good day.

A lovely picture!

I try always to find pictures of my ancestors, especially women. This is easy when it is a princess!

And I describe females as much as possible - not only with facts about their husband. For instance their parents´ title or profession, names of their children, if they also took care of elderly relatives, aso.

Here is my comment on one of those pictures, and why I took it down:

Though many web sites present this as a portrait of Marjorie Bruce, it isn't. This is the princess from Jost Haller's "St. George Slaying the Dragon," form c. 1445 -- about 150 years later than Marjorie, and a different country.

Anne, why don't we just use an image of her grave site at Paisley Abbey in Scotland?
Wikimedia has an image that appears to be the best from her tomb:

I set https://www.geni.com/photo/view/6000000002144509782?album_type=phot... as the “front image” and I’ll de tag the wrong images.

Can I trouble M Ness fill in the Title, Description, and attribution fields? I also sometimes use “comments” to hyperlink off site / copy paste details of the image, for further interesting details.

Thank you Anne for explaining!

Indeed is Elizabeth Mure if I recall correctly.

Mostly I attempt to leave people’s pictures alone.

My exceptions are the constant use of portraits of people that aren’t the right ones. Those i comment on and take off the profile slot. The comments get sent to the people who put them up, so that’s helpful.

But maps, flags, houses, they don’t bother me.

Except the Union Jack, in the Middle Ages. That I take down as well.

But gravesites, that’s fine.

Just not portraits of people in the wrong clothes from a different time and place.

And the Union Jack.

Good solution to leave the tomb marker!

Feedback already:

“Hello Everyone!

“I absolutely love this recent photo on Marjorie's profile & make a motion that the field be Locked to keep the other 45 or so contributions at bay. Most tasteful & appropriate! Thanks!”

I don’t think we can “lock” images in place (as yet).

Fine by me and you're welcome.

Yeah, too bad we can’t lock.

I just took the St George princess down again.
