For 40 years the "Francis Mildenhall" error has been known and thoroughly proven as an error by the author, William Mendenhall. Researchers for the present day Mendenhall Family Association and Mendenhall.org searched all the parish registers and found that 150 years before Francis during the times of Walter Myldenale bc1422 and his son Thomas bc1462, their descendants split the Mildenhalls, with descendants all the way down to present-day Mendenhall/Mildenhall/Minall, into those descended from William Mildenhall bc1512 of Little Bedwyn/Chisbury, Wiltshire and those descended from Thomas Mildenhall bc 1500-10 of Marridge Hill, Ramsbury, Wilts. The William line we call the Bedwyn Line and the Thomas line we call the Marridge Hill line. The former stayed in England and many of them currently living joined the Mendenhall Family Association in the 1990s and collaborated with us in proving the separate Bedwyn and Marridge Hill line. Then their present chief researcher in Nottinghamshire, England named Peter Mendenhall of the Bedwyn line created a sister website to Mendenhall.org named Mendenhall.org/UK Anyone wanting to see the accepted and proven Bedwyn line should go to this website. There it is seen that the father of Francis Mildenhall was named John Myldenale/Mildenhall b1562 in the Little Bedwyn area, Wilts. and his life and existence there is proven by the will and court papers of John's father named Robert Mildenale who died in 1603 in the Little Bedwyn area. We will attempt to merge John of Chisbury into the true father of Francis Mildenhall soon. Any comments? Please let's not continue the "Francis is the origin of the Mendenhall family" error as given by the Wiliam Mendenhall (of the Bedwyn branch).
It looks like we will not ask to make a merge of this Francis to his father John Mildenhale of Chisbury/Little Bedwyn because there are too many errors and problems already in this tree here to be able to correct it. Besides, the correct tree for John Mildenhale to Francis born 1588 already exists in the proper place. It just needs to be extended and improved a little bit using Peter Mendenhall's family website, Thank you so much.
