Sarah Stoughton died May 31, 1652, in Windsor, CT.

Births, marriages, and deaths returned from Hartford, Windsor, and Fairfield, and entered in the early land records of the colony of Connecticut : volumes I and II of land records and no. D of colonial deeds

Sarah Stoughton baptized Jan. 10 1618-19; died May 31, 1652

https://archive.org/details/englishancestryo00turn_0/page/74

English ancestry of Thomas Stoughton, 1588-1661, and his son Thomas Stoughton, 1624-1684, of Windsor, Conn. ; his brother Israel Stoughton, 1603-1645, and his nephew William Stoughton, 1631-1701, of Dorchester, Mass.

It is apparent that Sarah Stoughton, the daughter of Capt. Thomas Stoughton of Windsor, CT, died unmarried and without issue. As a direct ancestor of John Denman, her alleged husband here, I would like to see this error corrected. There are no reliable sources to prove the marriage.

Dear Private User

Thanks for bringing this to light!

I also looked around and could not find a second wife for John Denman so I have gone ahead and removed Sarah Stoughton from her alleged husband.

In case you want to remove any other relationships in the future you can do so by opening the edit page for the profile and selecting "Relationships" at the top. At the bottom of the window you can see the various relationships the profile has and there is an option to remove them.

Thank you for being so helpful and responsive, I really appreciate it. Everything on her profile looks correct now, except for the marital surname, "Denman" (which is locked, so will need to be removed by the curator).
