I understand that this photo shouldn't be the profile photo for the project but there was no reason to remove it either.
This grave is in Graz. Lina's daughter Frieda Nasch lived in Graz with her husband Isidore and their daughters Gerti and Neti until Ftieda and Isidore were deported to Minsk and the daughters escaped to Palestine. The family was from Most but apparently after Sigmund died Karolina moved in with her daughter in Graz.
Another interesting fact set when I located this grave online I put in a request at Billiongraves and there is a a photographer there who was quite eager to help but the Jewish community wouldn't let him anywhere near the cemetery. Finally after I emailed them a bunch of times they took a picture of the grave themselves and sent it to me.
I am guessing that the cemetery is in excellent condition and I hope other people in this project will be able to find relatived there.
Best,
Jonathan Feig

That would be me, not Randy.

I removed your family's gravestone as the profile photograph because I wanted the photograph to be more representative of the community.

Our families gravestones were in good shape except for one, which we had repaired. The Graz cemetery had a recent renovation project too.

Let me know if you have any other relatives who should have vital records in Graz, or please add their profiles to the project. Use "Actions > Add to Project"

Please add any other photographs directly to the profiles, rather than the project.

I did not intend for the photo to be the profile for the project. I added it as media and I guess it came up as the profile because there was no profile photo at that time.
So that problem is solved.

I tagged Randy because he has stated, in a Facebook group for Czech Jewish Cemetery photographs, that he would like to collect photos of existing gravestones in the different Jewish town projects here on Geni, and so I mentioned him because ,if I understand correctly ,then it would be a good idea to share photos of the graves from Graz Jewish cemetery here.
I have shared the first one ,-never with the intention that it should be in any way representative of the project as a whole.

While I have somebody's attention I would like to ask; -on the list of "illegal immigrants to Palestine" -is there any mention of a Gerti(?) or Neti(?) Nasch?
The only records I have of these women are on an obit for their grandfather from Prager Tagblatt and then, their testimonials at Yad Vashem for their parents. There is a burial record in Rishon LeZion for Gerti Miriam Berkovitz which is almost certainly a match and then at least two burial records for different Zipporah Goldmans,,either of which might be Neti.
I also have had no luck finding descendants .

Btw, Lina Feig on the gravestone is the wife of my second cousin twice removed, I only found her when I was surfing the Badatelna to build my part of the tree on Geni, finding the gravestone was also a serendipitous accident, I was trying to find out about my great aunt of the same name and when I found the listing for the gravestone I searched it out because I mistakenly thought it was my aunt.
Lina's husband died earlier and is buried in Most where they were from, I remembered that Frida and her husband were listed at Yad Vashem as having lived in Graz and then I realized that this gravestone was Frida's mother ,she must have gone to Graz from Most to live with her daughter after her husband Sigmund passed away.

Finally, I would be surprised if anybody else called Nasch,(the family was from Zohor Slovakia) or Feig-from the mountains in between Karlsbad and Usti- (Romanian Feigs are no relation) ever lived in Graz but if they did please let me know.
Also if anybody finds any of Sigmund and Lina's descendants in Israel .I would like to let them know about the gravestone.
