under "death" it says he "died young" but the sources listed (myheritage records) indicate born 1813 died 1897 ... not quite my definition of young. Any help on this mystery? is this individual become confused with someone with identical name?

Hi Richard,
The details that you have are correct. It agrees with PO3E pg 162 and GISA's SAG vol 8 pg 371.
When I did a merge of his profile on 21/3/2019 the info was still there (click on the merged profiles view in Revisions). It appears that something went wrong with/after that.
He did marry and had 10 children.

Next:-) ... On the father connected to this profile, on the death Notice there is a Matthys Wynand, but DOB given as 21/12/20. Any ideas??

Yes, you are correct. The loaded probate is that of Mathys Wynand Pretorius, b3c1d3e9f15

I'll give the other managers a few days to correct it. If not done by Friday next week I'll do the necessary.
