I keep seeing this in many online family tree sites and there is no evidence presented to prove Elizabeth Fletcher was the mother of John and Emmanuel Will/Wells
I can however produce evidence that John and Emmanuel Wills/Wells of Warwick Co, Colonial Virginia where indeed born to Elizabeth Cole and Emmanuel Wills.
For John Wills, see August 24, 1638 on this page: https://www.ancestry.com/mediaui-viewer/collection/1030/tree/102247...
For Emmanuel, see Feb 21, 1644 at this link: https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/1624/31281_a100776-00011/15475...
Okay, so you have a John and Emmanuel born in England to a Emmanuel Wills and Elizabeth. So what, that does not place them in Virginia. Okay take a look at this land grant of 1850 acres of land to Peter Knight and Baker Cutts at this this link: http://image.lva.virginia.gov/LONN/LO-1/002-2/002_0657.tif see the right hand column of names. It includes Eman (uel) Wills and Elizabeth his wife and six children. They were to settle in the Northern Neck of Virginia (Westmoreland County).
That's right they came over to Virginia in 1653 evidence that John and Emanuel where not born in Virginia.
Emmanuel dies soon afterward and Elizabeth marries Baker Cutts. He soon dies and Elizabeth marries Henry Jackson and they move to Mulberry Island, Warwick Co. VA. Read the will of Henry Jackson here (3 Pages) : https://www.ancestry.com/mediaui-viewer/collection/1030/tree/102247...
See page 2 of that will. Both John and Emanuel Wills are named as the eldest and second eldest of Henry Jackson;s children by marriage to Elizabeth Cole Wills Cutts Jackson.
If you have evidence this strong to support John and Emmanuel being born to Elizabeth Fletcher I have not seen it and welcome it..
