I am the ancestor of the Holley's …. my great grandmother is the sister of William Edgar. I am looking diligently for their parents. But thought you might want to know if you don't Allie Evelyn Holley shows a maiden name of Britt. Also, I have ran across information somewhere that her name was Alice and she went by Allie. Her parents being Ruben Parker Britt born 12.23.1853 LA and mother Alzora Wray born 3.19.1861 Jefferson Co., AL Hope this is helpul

Pam, thanks for the info. I did have her maiden name and the names of her parents. I don't think that I had her name as Alice though. We always called her "Gran" or "Allie B". I never knew my great-grandfather or their son, my grandfather. What is the name of your great-grandmother? I may have some info on her. Sometimes if I run into a roadblock, I will start looking at siblings hoping that someone has some other information. Seems through this that we must be distant cousins.

Kim, my great grandmother was Mary Hester Holley - "Mollie" - she married Edward Alexander Arrington. Mary Hester Holley birthday was 12/25/1883 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX. Died 03/11/1944 Cause of Death: Acute Jaundice and Gall Bladder. She died in Ft Worth, Tarrant Co.,TX. I am assuming she was living with one of her children at that point because several moved to that area. I know Mary Hester and Edward lived in the Northeast TX area. I did find her parents: William H. Holley and Lucy K. Campbell. I have the three boys as siblings: Charles Henry, John Claborn, William Edgar....if there are more children I am not aware of it. I just finished a quick work up on what I have on the family. If you want me to send it to me let me know.... my email is txlonghornsfans@yahoo.com
