A family legend was that my Father's Grandfather was disowned by the Schaffalitzky family after getting the family cook pregnant. My Father was born in 1921 and his father had him after age 40, so my best guess is that this event would have taken place sometime between 1850 and 1880. The disowned son was given a place called "Klemenshave" and, I imagine, told to drop the family name. Has anyone ever heard that story.
