Ancestry Member Eric L. Watts photo submission and notations. ASA DEES DIED (May or Aug) 27, 1878 Aged about 97 The month is badly weathered and difficult to read. The first letter has two, possibly three, tall diagonals, the middle letter is round and the third letter has a descender, so it could either May or Aug. Even tracing the carving carefully with my finger, it was virtually impossible to determine which month it is.

Abel Stacks died shortly afterwards. I did not post his probate information. It can be found on Ancestry.
