This Fnu Bnu was made in coordination with D. Gambrell who agreed that her SNPs did not place the Fnu Bnu to a merge of Nottoway Cheraw John Williams III.

D. Gambrell, it was my understanding you would not be merging the new profile I made as we had agreed the line to the Ann Williams Yeopim was the parent per the atDna.

It was a miscommunication because you also told me you put it Fnu Bnu so I could determine the father. I had said I didn't want to touch these lines to avoid things like this but you seemed to indicate giving me the go-ahead. Yes, the atDNA goes to Ann Page Williams, Yeopim, but the daughters had to have a father and everything I find says John was their father, not step-father, as indicated in the sources I just sent you which even show where Ann Wiliams Herring witnessed documents on a land deal for her parents John Williams and wife Ann. It could be that like all the Anns and Johns in these lines that their father was another John Williams other than Nottoway Cheraw Leader John Williams?

I said on the Fnu Bnu that you would determine the father other than John Williams per the atDna. Please give the primary source for the merges that you make and if they are Old Cheraw related, it will not be unclear that I will be the one doing the merges because I absolutely know who to merge to and would not be leaving that up to others.

Here is the land deed which is in Roquist Swamp and is not the same John Williams, The John Williams of the Old Cheraw did not own land in Roquist Swamp. When you make an Fnu dad of Ann, it would need this deed on your profile in the About section and also in the Source section and mention with an asterick * Do not confuse with the Nottoway John Williams by the same name. In the link I just sent, it has this important bit about Ann Williams Herring:

Notes for ANN WILLIAMS:
Colonial Bertie County N.C. Deed Books A - H,1720-1757
Following entry in 1727 shows Ann Williams Herring, wife of Samuel Herring and Dau. of John and Ann Williams served as a witness in a transaction by her parents.
Book B pg 338 Williams, John & Ann to Henry Overstreet, Aug. 2, 1727 12lbs for 135 acres on Cashin Swamp and Roquist River. Line back of a survey of Martin Gardner.Wit. Isaac Williams, Wm. Jones, ANN HERRING, May court, 1728. Edward Mashborne, D&C of C

Ok, I will change "Dad of" to John Wiliams and put those notes in the About section. i would have made genealogy so much easier for our generation if all those folks had used a different name now and then!

Done

The profiles for Sarah, the aunt will not work, a new Sara is needing her own profile. The profile for just which Anne this is going to be is next step to be determined.

Done.

The Biography needs cleaning now unfortunately. The Roquist section moved up under “family” would be useful.

Moved the Roquist information over to the Roquist Group.
