Margaret Bucher - not related to joshua

2 brothers married 2 sisters, Phillip Harrison Bucher married Letitia Henning Stephens in 1855. He ran the Harris House Saloon in Westport and was shot dead in the street by Red leg George Hoyt in 1861. Letitia was reported to say she was related to Thadeus Stevens the abolitionist in an attempt to save him. Phillips brother was Samual Bucher and he married Letitia's sister Margret Stephens. My grandmother remembered the story and spoke of her grandfathers Samual and Preston Erwin often.
