His genealogy is challenging as there was a George Beam who traveled to Darke County, OH around 1819 and helped settle Beamsville, OH. But that would mean this George W. Was only 8 years old, so can’t be him. George born in 1811 is undoubtedly related to George Beam who arrived there in 1819 but not sure how. Could be his nephew or son or cousin. The most promising lead is from Van Wert County, OH records which indicates a Jacob Beam moved there from Darke County and describes the parents and family. But I do not believe I will ever be certain of George W. Beam’s (b. 1811) except through DNA. There were too many Boehms, Beams, Boehmes, in Lancaster, PA in the mid to late 1700’s to tell from which person he descends. Larendaj@gmail.com
