Clara Hurt - Notre Dame fire-April 16, 2019

Clara's mother writes:
We are heartbroken to hear about the fire and watched a lot of news reports last night. Apparently there were a lot of current event discussions yesterday on the French school playground too, because I'm now listening to my five year old [Clara] explain the Notre Dame fire to a three year old:

Did you know I have something very bad to tell you? It's very very bad.

In Paris... That's next to France... There was a FIRE in a very old old old old old church.

Do you know what's a church? It's where they pray. It's like a masjid. But they don't stand up and lay down and pray. They just sit and look up.

It was soooooooo beautiful inside. And one of the tools or something, we don't know, but maybe one of the tools maked the fire and then now they haded to rebuild it. And the smoke was so much it was all the way until France!
