hey cuzzinz!!! im trying to track down my grandfather's lineage towards the 1820 settlers. my grand father was born 7 feb, 1914 and passed away on the 4 april 1962. funeral ref no: 1220/1962 Johannesburg. he worked in the gold mining industry and died of pneumonia. he was married to daisy Hayward from peddie, eastern cape who died in 1971. he had three daughters, marlene, carol and Cheryl. Cheryl is my mom. I have managed to trace our lineage through my grand mothers side to the 1820 settlers, but my grandfathers side has a few gaps that I am battling to close. I really want him and his family to be remembered as their roots also came from the 1820 settlers. although I never me my gamma and granpa, as they died quite young. I want to finish his line giving him that final dignity. please any help will really be greatly appreciated. feel free to check my tree as maybe someone else out there also looking for info. have an awesome one!!!! Clint,
I have merged your tree into the Geni World Family Tree and you will find a wealth of detail on your ancestors now that you are part of it.

I will send you a private message with some help tips so that you can adhere to the various Geni protocols such as punctuation and capitalisation etc.

Here is your tree and happy exploring.

Hi Clint. FamilySearch has Llewellyn’s line going all the way back to 1780 in Kent. If you join up (free) you can see who did all the research and some really interesting records.

Hi Clint, follow this link to get to your grandfather's brother, Jarvis Reckless Hayward, and follow your grandfather's line back from there.

Hi Clinton

My Grandmother was Ivy Louisa Violet Levey (b Hayward) so we are related. Your grandfather and grandmother are on my “My Heritage” tree. Both trees go back to the 1820 settlers.
My Mom was Maureen Levey who married Basil McGrath.

I have given you access to my tree on My Heritage and you can go and have a look for yourself – just type in his name in the search bar. It would be great if you could let me have some info on your side of the tree.

Shout if you need any help. We stay in Jhb.

Cheers

Roy
