This is my Great-grandfather, married Catherine Lewis in 1852. They had five sons, and two daughters, one of the sons, Henry Lee Jones, August 16, 1861, is my grandfather. I have death certificates and a copy of a will listing Catherine as his wife, but can find no other evidence for her. Family records list her as daughter of Capt. Gideon Lewis, Jr. and Hannah Mahala Lewis, but websites don't show her in that family. I will be happy to share my info and would appreciate yours.

Hi, Frances

With the information you provided, I was able to get you 'connected' to Geni's shared World Family Tree! You should be able to see the connections & relationships.

Having those additional profiles, I also 'imported' additional profiles and data from SmartMatches which showed up.

I did not find anything 'indicative' about Katherine / Catherine Lewis; there were a lot of search results from different newspaper articles about several distinctly different "Katherine M. Jones" for you to investigate <smile>.

Hi Dan, nice to almost meet you. I have a little information for you here. Amanda Jane Graybeal was my great aunt and married my grandfather, Henry Lee Jones. They had one child, Laura E. Jones in Sept.1895. Laura married a Kilby. May have more later.

Frances: Now that you are 'connected' to the rest of your "Family Group" (a somewhat formal Geni term you find in your account Preferences/Settings), you can edit and add-to those profiles yourself. This *is* a shared, collaborative World Family Tree, after all <smile>.

re: great-aunt ... expand your maternal ancestors, and then you should be able to merge/connect Amanda Jane into that branch.

FamilySearch.org seems to have some info on those Graybeals; you can use "SmartCopy" to bring that info into Geni easily (see the SmartCopy project for more info here: https://www.geni.com/projects/SmartCopy/18783)

Amanda is connected to me by my grandfather, as well. She was the sister of John Emory/Emery Graybeal, the father of my mother. My family is almost hilariously confused.
