something was changed very recently, but i don't find it's an improvement. far from.
i'd rather just type in the name of the location instead of waiting for suggestions.
it used to be much much better.

Rvk, agree. And Geni is aware of the problems and working on it. I can’t really suggest a solution at the moment however; I’m gritting my teeth & hanging in. There’s always manual entry. :)

yeah, it seems they are always working on something, but in the end you never notice a change.
sorry, just the cynical me...

Not noticing a change is a good thing, it means it slipped in nice & easy.

I’ve seen such vast improvements in Geni in the time I’ve been using it I can’t even begin to say. So there’s that.

I love it when someone is born while migrating to America, then it's easy to type in Atlantic Ocean and no concept of city, country, state or country and it's accurate.

when you type in exactly the same place name you can get different results. for example try 'manhattan' a couple of times and see what happens. not stable.

It's because they are no longer using a service which has become too expensive; it is not meant to be an improvement but dealing with the next best thing.
