Alfred left Germany in 1934. Until this day we are not sure why. Indeed we have been told that in 1934 there was a search of his house by "Nazis" this might have been the result of the arrest of his sister Annusch who was communist. He left 1934 and never again set a foot in Germany.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I did see the article unfortunately it is not correct. We have a very big archive of my grandfather and are sure about this.

I do read German.
