I have been researching James Rabun Haley's parents and have not yet been able to prove, or disprove, any of the possible suspects. If anyone has any document supporting this couple, or any other (such as Richard Hailey and Mary Rayburn), please let me know. The only tangible piece of evidence that suggests at least some type of relationship between James rabun Haley and Mary Rayburn's family is a deed from a Rayburn relative after Richard Hailey and the Rayburn relatives moved to the Miss/LA territory transferring land in Franklin County, GA to James R. Haley.
DNA has not proven useful for me in solving the question because it now appears by maternal grandmother (opposite side of my family from the Haleys) may be related in some manner to the Rayberns/Rayburns/Rabuns. Thank you endogamy!
