Added a map of Bristol County under Photos

My 6th great grandmother was Mercy Welch Spaulding, daughter of James Welch, of Swansea. I just untangled 4-5 different Welch/Welsh families with the help of fellow curator, Erica Howton. The experience pointed out to me how important knowledge of geography is but it especially indicated to me that I did not understand the geography of Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The Welch family I'm descended from lived in Bristol, then the county seat, now in Bristol County, Rhode Island, and in Swansea, and Rehoboth, currently in Bristol County, Massachusetts. All three of these towns were in close proximity. I had them confused with a Malden, MA family, which now makes little sense.

In fact, my Williams ancestors stayed in the area from Richard Williams, Immigrant, my 8th great grandfather, married to Frances Deighton / Dighton (for whom Dighton, Bristol, MA is named) through my 3rd great grandfather, as follows.
