John Thomond O'Brien O'Connor, General - O'Briens from Baltinglass Wicklow

I have just traced my g great grandfather back to Baltinglass in Wicklow, I do not have any experience with researching famiky history in Ireland, but it would be amazing if I found these trees were connected.
My GGreat grandfather was John O'Brien, born 1864 Baltinglass, his parents were John O'Brien & Mary Neill. This is all the information that I have at the moment so any help of what records are available would be great.
