The only mention I can find of a Martin Delaney from Banagher on Geni is in the overview of https://www.geni.com/projects/People-Connected-to-County-Westmeath/..., where it says:
"DELANEY MARTIN 40 02/05/15 SON OF MARTIN DELANEY, OF BANAGHER, KING'S CO.; HUSBAND OF KATE DELANEY, OF CLARA RD., MOATE, CO. WESTMEATH."
The source given in the overview is the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. It looks like this is his information:
https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/44380/delaney,-martin/
So Martin Delaney, son of Martin Delaney and husband of Kate Delaney, was killed in action on 2 May 1915 in France as part of the 1st Battalion, Leinster Regiment, and is buried at Hazebrouck.
The way the Geni project overview is written, it could be either father or son who was from Banagher. Private User or Private User, can you weigh in on how to interpret that?
