Hi William, I've trusted on Esa Kannala on this. It's based on research by Esa Kannala, Esa's cousin and Juhani Mäkitalo. What I've been told by Esa Kannala is that there are some documents about a trial considering disagreement over heritage that went on almost 20 years (between descendants of Olof Olofsson Tulkki) and later disagreement over ownership of lands (between Per Olofsson and Curtelius), and those documents are the base to this conclusion.
