John Damon, Jr. - Damon tree

Hi, Lawrence! In order to prove correct descent, you'll need to find the documentation for each of those connections. How far back do you have citations/sources? It helps if we know where to start looking.

I have a letter from my 3rd Great Grandfather that was written to him dated February 18 1870 from Union Hill cemetery and the author of this letter was his nephew that worked there. Stating that the first Damon was John Damon and then skips to Samual Damon which was my 3rd Great Grandfather so I found other trees with John Damon and filled in the blanks from John to Samuel but I’m not sure if their trees are correct and in the letter states John married Katherine Merritt so I’m sure I’ve started with the right John.
I’m just recently interested in all this so I have no experience at what I’m doing
