I have in my possession Edward Gusterson's pocket watch (a silver pair-cased verge watch made by Thomas Moore of Ipswich). Please contact me <tas0946@bigpond.com> if you would like a photo. Engraved on the back of the watch case is "Edward Gusterson, Nayland'. He must have been a man of substance to have been able to afford a watch of this type. To have purchased it in the mid 18th century would be equivalent to buying a $20,000 Rolex today.
