Elizabeth Tyler married Samuel Pottenger on 11 July 1717 in Prince George's County, Maryland. Samuel Pottenger died in 1742; his will, probated 27 March, 1742, names widow Elizabeth as executrix. Elizabeth Pottenger, widow of Samuel Pottenger, was married to James Drane on 23 July 1743. She was never married to William Marshall, nor was she the mother of Sarah Marshall.
