I am trying to find data on the Granddaughter of Levi and Phoebe Janes from Holgate OHIO, her name was Goldie I Janes born 1902 in Holgate. She was my Fathers grandmother. I was always told she was native american and when she was old would sit an rock on the porch and smoke a pipe while rocking in her chair. I know as a former census employee that the workers do not always put what they should on the forms. I have seen the W for white on the forms and I am trying to see if I can verify yes or no to the Native Indian. Perhaps it came in after she married on her husbands side his name was Carl Franklin More. If you could even direct me that would be great.. I do not even know what Indians would have been around that area in that tie frame. my e mail is msmooret@ aol.com

Dear Toni,
Are you using Familysearch? It is free and the best database of documents. I found 2 census documents:
1920: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MDTF-KYQ
1930: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X4SX-5J7
Do you have an approximate death date? That could help.
Jessie

To use Familysearch: Go to https://www.familysearch.org/ . At the top of the screen there should be a join or sign up button. It is free, and they won't pester you with tons of spam. Then you can search their database (the largest on earth) for info on your ancestors.
