Does anyone have information on whom Robert was assigned to on his arrival in Australia in 1801. Have not been able to find any record up until 1806 when he rented 10 acres from a Mr. Palmer. Do we assume he was assigned to his wife?

We have no information to help, however if his wife travelled free with him, he may well ahve been assigned to her - this appears to have happened and was often not documented.

I am not sure who he was assigned to. He received his ticket of leave in 1805 and then had children with his wife in 1805, 1807, 1809, 1811, 1813, 1815, 1817, 1820. If he was assigned to his wife I would have expected a child between 1801 and 1805.

Hi Chris and Leanne
Thanks for your input. Leanne do you have documentation of him receiving his ticket of leave in 1805? The earliest documentation that I can find is the 1806 Convict Muster. I am currently doing a Diploma of Family History and as part of this particular course I have to complete a 1,000 thesis on a convict relative. I am doing it on Robert Farlow who is my fourth great grandfather so any information you might have in the period Dec 1801 to 1806 would be appreciated.
Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard, I have added a lot of links to his profile overview. Reference to his ticket of leave should be in one of those links
