Nico Conradie (inactive) says: Managers of Jan Nel, b10c7,
I inserted this comment into the profiles of both Jan Nel, b10c7 and Jan Nel, b10c7
"According to GISA's SAG Vol. 6, it was Johannes Nel (b10c10) ≈ 1743 who was married to Petronella Nel. At the time of writing (25 Mar 2019), the position on GENI.com is that Jan Nel (b10c7) ≈ 1736 was married to Petronella Calitz. (The Cape Town Marriage Record itself refers to "Johannes Nel" as the groom.)
In either case, the groom would have been 50+ years old at the time of a first marriage, causing one to wonder whether the correct person has been identified as spouse of Petronella Calitz, irrespective of whether it is b10c7 or b10c10."
My question:
Do you feel strongly that Jan Nel b10c7 is the correct person who married Petronella Calitz, or should she be "moved" to Johannes Nel b10c10?
Ah - I used the links from the Nel line on the project: https://www.geni.com/projects/Nel-Genealogy-of-South-Africa/14226 - which makes it immediately apparent tha thet two brothers have been merged into each other :-(

OK, so Pieter Willem Nel, SV1b10 has his correct wife back... but somehow 9 of his ten children disappeared in the process. :-(
He now has only b10c3 left, but there should be b10c1 through to b10c10.
He needs help to get those 9 missing children back (Example: Jan Nel, b10c7) Is there anybody with the time to can help him add them?
