Dear All:
I am researching William Alexander Nabers/Nabors in connection to his cabinet work. The entire clan of Nabers/Nabers were involved in cabinetmaking and furniture historians are very interested in them.
As yet, I do not have furniture attributed to them and I would be very grateful to be aware of any which descended in the family. Both James Basil Nabers of Jackson County and William Alexander Nabers/Nabors of Clarke were cabinetmakers, as were many of their South Carolina kinsmen.
Any information you might have or pieces of furniture they made would really assist us in placing these historical figures in the context of Southern design and craft history.
