Her name was Sarah (Crawford) Ruffin. One of my grandmothers on my maternal side, Purity (Ruffin) DeLoach was her daughter. Purity Ruffin DeLoach is 1746-1791 from Bertie, NC. William married Faith Gray first then Sarah Crawford. Sarah has a son from a prior marriage Joel Newsome. Thank you for all your efficient help as I can’t quite concentrate later at night.
