Hey all, I have a line that's been driving me crazy for a very long time. i am looking for information about my 3x great grandmother, Margaret Catlett. The only document I can find with her listed is her marriage license and a few Census (1850 and 1870).
In one of the censuses it shows her birth year about 1804. The other shows it as 1813/1814. Her name is also spelled Margaret and Margeret. I believe there is another spelling as well from the license, but I can't tell if it's just because of the script/cursive or if it is actually another spelling. Her marriage record to my 3x great grandfather, William F. Widmyer, says they were married 6 Jun 1825 in Morgan Co, Virginia. It is signed by his father, Jacob Widmyer and who I am assuming would be her father, John Catlett.
I have asked in a Catlett group on Facebook, and everybody is very nice... I was told by somebody who seems like they've researched a lot into the Catlett line that none of the John Catlett's they have documented had a daughter named Margaret.
Does anybody know where I can look for more information? The information I've found has been from Ancestry and Family Search. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
