Nancy - go to your brother's profile. Click on his Revision Tab -- it should give information on any removal/disconnection of a wife - with both a link to the profile, so you can find it now, plus who disconnected it - so you can ask why.

One can reconnect the profile (if that is the right one, and since it is a claimed and so is Richard's, assuming they are both willing) -- see https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229705547-How-can-I-merge-m... - use the "Drag-And-Drop" and choose and choose wife (or husband, depending which way you went). Unfortunately they only picture how to find "Move this Person" on the Flash Tree - but it does exist on the HTML Tree -- if/when that is all you need help with, ask and I will try to describe how to find "Move This Person" on the HTML Tree.

Or if need be, send a message to https://www.geni.com/discussions/192543 with a link to the profile disconnected and a link to her husband's profile, and ask that they be re-connected as husband and wife (and, I assume, the children as his children?)
