There was a large orphanage in klimovichi, about 50 children. They were evacuated during the war. I have been unable to find out any of the information about the orphanage and not sure how to go about it. My great grandma worked there and I have some names of other carers but I'd love to find some official documents. Anyone have information about the orphanage?

I am elated to find any mention of an orphanage. My paternal grandparents both lost their mothers and were placed in an orphanage, where they met. The comments in their marriage record indicate that he was from Klimovichi (and she was from Igumen). They were born in 1872 and 1874 respectively, so it may not be the same orphanage but I would be interested in any information you have about it.
