Sir William de Fiennes, Sheriff of Surrey - Joan Douglas does not show up in the Fiennes family tree in Ranulph Fiennes 2009 book (Mad Dogs and Englishmen) that traces the Fiennes back to Charles Martel, using primary sources (sources kept in his family).

Can anyone dispute this or should Joan Douglas be removed as a wife?

No evidence of her in various peerages. I detached her.

Thanks. I have since found a Joan Douglas who was the wife of 5th Baron William Dacre. That may have caused some confusion since there is a Richard Fiennes who was married Johanna Dacre. Richard Fiennes was created by the Edward VII as the 8th Baron Dacre after he married the daughter of Thomas Dacre of Gilsland, in the North. That was one of the connection points between the Fiennes and the Dacres.
