John Briggs married Agnes Thayer

Just a note I belonging to the Thayer group Patricia Muno who has written 7 or so books of the Thayer lines has contacted me about this line. Marriage 11 Nov 1633 Thornbury Gloucestershire England

The reason there are not more definitive dates for Deborah THAYER (daughter of Nathaniel THAYER and Rebecca BRIGGS of Taunton, MA) is because the early Taunton Vital Records were destroyed (If memory serves me - by fire). We do not know the exact years of births on Nathaniel's children, but the renowned New England researcher, Waldo Chamberlain Sprague, has it that she married John WOODWARD. You may not be aware that Rebecca BRIGGS was the granddaughter of Agnes THAYER, who was the sister of Thomas, Richard and William Thayer, immigrants to America. Agnes (Thayer) Briggs and husband John BRIGGS immigrated to America about 1657. Hope this help, Patricia
