Thanks for posting about William "Indian Billy" Dragoo. Del Osborn and I spent about 20 years documenting his life. I published it as The Legendary Indian Billy Dragoo. It is available on Amazon, some ebay sites. I also have autographed copies.
He was born in Monongalia Co., Virginia, (now Marion Co., WV)
near Barrackville. He had two sons by his Indian wife: John and Isaac and possibly daughters. He and wife #2 Rebecca Matheny had six children: They are listed in his Bible owned by an Osborn descendant. They are Jacob, Elizabeth, Peter W., Ann, Margaret and Rhoda Jane. The John W. born in 1858 shown in the Bible is the son of Rhoda, grandson of Indian Billy.
