I looked at the attachments and they show that a Mary TUCKER was baptised on 23/10/1774 to a James TUCKER and Ann ?

With Mary being a common name, how do you know that this is the baptism record for this Mary TUCKER that married Adam PERRATT, rather than for another Mary TUCKER?

I have found the relationship that supports James Tucker & Ann as the parents of Mary Tucker. Details as follows:
In the marriage registers for Martock I was able to find Mary Tucker's (spelt Tuckar) marriage to Adam Perrett in 1794, and the record showed James Tucker & Phillip Rodford as witnesses.

I was then able to find that Phillip Rodford married Elizabeth Tucker in 1795.

At issue was whether the James Tucker, as marriage witness, was Mary's father, and is the Elizabeth Tucker, Mary's sister?
I have Mary's baptism as 23 Oct 1774 in Martock, to James & Ann Tucker (citation available on FreeReg)

James & Ann Tucker also had a daughter, Elizabeth, baptised 9 Feb 1766 in Martock (FreeReg citation)

So, from the wedding record for Mary Ann Tucker & Adam Perrett, I believe that 'James' was her father, and 'Phillip Rodford' was, in fact, Mary Ann's brother-in-law, who married Elizabeth in 1795.

To further show that this was an 'all Martock' affair, Phillip Rodford was baptised 11 Jun 1772 in Martock to Phillip (Snr) & Sarah
