In the Google book "Report on the Census of Cuba, 1899"; Mariano Gomez y Gomez is listed as an enumerator for the Municipal District of Sancti-Spiritus (9th part of the city). Could Mariano Gomez y Gomez be a brother of Jose Miguel Gomez y Gomez? It could not be the son of Jose Miguel Gomez y Gomez as he was too young to be an enumerator for the Census in 1899.
